The weather was kind and the extended road closure reduced congestion. The OBK generously allowed the use of their car park for the children’s entertainment which was buzzing all the time. Santa and his helpers saw over 150 kids, the mulled wine flowed freely, the scouts and Riverhill provided hot dogs and chestnuts. The Salvation Army Band led the carol singing and St Joseph’s Choir was a big hit. Thanks to all the volunteers, the local businesses for their support and to all who turned out to make it one of the best switch-ons ever.
