The Oxton Society is deeply shocked and saddened at the loss of our friend and our Membership Secretary, Dave Barden, who has died in the Moroccan earthquake whilst on the latest leg of a round-the-world cycle trip raising funds for the Red Cross.
Dave gave his all to helping our local community in Oxton as well as to raising much-needed funds for national charitable causes close to his heart.
He was well-liked and much respected by everyone who knew him and is a significant loss to us all.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
