Oxton Conservation Area Appraisal, 2010

The Oxton Conservation Area Appraisal was  prepared by leading heritage consultants, Donald Insall Associates Ltd. on behalf of Wirral Council and The Oxton Society back in 2010. Its purpose was to provide a full appraisal to inform a management plan – later to be adopted by Wirral Council. It provides a comprehensive picture of the conservation area including each element (buildings, boundaries trees, surfaces, etc) and was instrumental in justifying it extension in  2013. Although it was pepared some time ago it still retains a penetrating analysis of what makes Oxton so attractive and worthy of preservation and enhancement. The full document can be viewed here.
