In the event of an emergency always call 999 first.
Only after that call should you seek out a defibrillator device if instructed by the 999 call handler.
Call the telephone number stated on the machine cabinet and you will be told a code to unlock the cabinet. Take the machine to your patient!
You do not need to be trained to use the defibrillator. When you switch the machine on, it tells you exactly what to do.
You must follow this process so that in the event of a machine being used, the emergency services know to replace the machine as soon as possible.
